Week 48

L - Flowers, for me??? A colourful one for me this week. Shane brought home some flowers for me on Friday, just because! Which was nice...we like pretty flowers. Ooh and they are Tulips which says...SPRING!! (coming soon anyway!)

R - In the Cement - I saw this when we moved into our new place and it's been a staple phrase in my vocabulary since moving to H St, I guess now we're leaving I had to snap a pic of it to remember it forever. Also I think it might be the start of "In the cement" another new photo project.

Week 47

L - Well another snowy side by side, we headed up for a weekend of snowboarding and it snowed all day! I proclaimed my love for the fresh snow which had fallen in a few hours by trying to draw a heart in my car mirror...complete with icicles. This doesn't happen too often in Australia so its pretty awesome.

R - We went apartment searching in NYC and I captured this from the highest residential building in Brookers. From the 51st floor it's quite the view, but sadly $2700/month for a 1 bedroom *gasp*

Week 46

L - Underground Love - Ok so I cheated this week as I took this photo a couple of months ago and it never made the cut. Anyway this deserves to be here due to the pure randomness of this....this is an ant hole in the sand shaped in a heart. A chance sighting!

R - I have decided to do a "corners" photo project with my fisheye gizmo. Took Diego a wee walk on the weekend to the dog park and started looking at all the corners

Week 45

L - Ahh if you can't have powder, freshly groomed corduroy runs on a bluebird day are the next best thing. We had our first weekend at the snow for the season, we picked a good one. The sun shone and snow was crisp...nice.

R - Found this in an alley a few weeks ago whilst walking Diego, think it's been a while since a dog lived there.

Week 44

L - The Last Seeds - So more experimentation this week these two little seed pods have been on the bare tree for ages and I keep wondering if they will ever fall off. I took a photo of them and picked one up off the ground and took a photo of it. A bit of processing trickery and overlayed the seed texture and this is exactly the colour I got when I combined the two photos.

R - More playing around with my tripod and long exposures, this time of the iconic Capitol building from my rooftop. I just played with the levels to boost the whiter than whiteness of the capitol dome. Not as exciting as the portrait version but can't win them all.
